About Helena

Linguist, author, and filmmaker, Helena Norberg-Hodge is the founder and director of the international non-profit organisation, Local Futures, a pioneer of the new economy , and the convenor of World Localization Day. She is the author of several books, inbegrepen ‘Ancient Futures: Learning from Ladakh’, an eye-opening tale of tradition and change in Ladakh, or “Little Tibet”. Together with a film of the same title, Ancient Futures has been translated into more than 40 languages, and sold half a million copies.

Topics in this five-day Eco-Dharma Talk series range from circular economies, het belang van lokaal voedsel, finding our way in the midst of climate and other crises, “innerlijke dimensies van duurzaamheid,” en onze verbinding met de heilige aarde. This talk series is being offered by Shambhala Online, in collaboration with Dechen Chöling Retreat Centre in France, and hosted by the Shambhala Touching the Earth Collective.
